What a disappointment this years, 'Record Of The Year' show was! To me it just synonymies the overall state of the record industry at the moment- especially if Busted really do have the record of the year!- Abysmally poor! Just out of interest, and although we've hardly been bowled over with choice, what would be your record of the year? Mine would be a close call between Rachel Stevens' "More More More", Kylie's "I Believe In You", and Danni Minogue v Flower Power's, "You Won't Forget About Me"- The latter being my record of the year! I think that the string arrangement on it is just brilliant!

I also think it's been a relatively disappointing year, but tere have been a few highlights for me. Sure, "I Believe in You" has been great, but I think it's more to do with the rest of the dirge being so "dirge"! For me it's been stuff like "This Love" by Maroon 5 that's caught my attention. Top 5 would be: 1 - This Love - Maroon 5 2 - Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Green Day 3 - Stupid Disco - Junior Jack 4 - Love Revolution - Phixx 5 - I Believe in You - Kylie. A weird bunch indeed!

The Maroon 5 track, wasn't really my normal cup of tea, but I did quite like it. With the exception of "I Believe In You", I haven't even heard your other 3!

You haven't heard the others? Really? The Stupid Disco track is a dance track which samples the 3 Degrees, the Phixx song, you MUST have heard as it went top 20 (I know, that means nothing these days) and the Green Day song has only just come out - a beautifully produced ballad.

Honestly, I haven't.
I couldn't even tell you what song is at number one, right now, as I've completely given up on the charts. They're totally unrepresentative of anything now, because for one thing, only a certain type of music is allowed to be in the chart, thus excluding a whole breadth of music genres.
I've kind of regressed back to the glory days of pop music by listening to quality pop songs executed with care, thought and a great deal of panache, from the 70's and 80's.

Hey! Firstly, Seb, it's great to see you here, mate! As for the songs; well, it's been a long time since a new single release has really got me 'buzzin', and one that I'm happy to play on repeat! Then all of sudden, there's three!!! "You Won't Forget About Me", "I Believe In You" and "More More More"! It's like waiting for a bus- you wait ages for one, and then they all come together!
